WHO/WHAT: Are you a mature, experienced professional with training in childhood development, a gentle demeanor, and a passion for gardening? Do you prefer two, longer shifts over several shorter ones? You’ll dig right in supporting a family of four science-loving introverts in a long-term position that starts this spring. Ideally, you’ll work Wednesdays from 9 am to 7 pm and Fridays from 9 am to 4 pm in a role that’s primarily focused on their weeks old baby girl. With her six-year-old big brother at school most of the day, you’ll hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and guide the newborn’s naps. While the tiny angel is awake, you’ll sing Old MacDonald Had a Farm, and engage her with creative, enjoyable activities that encourage development. When the little lady is off to dreamland, you’ll help with the children’s laundry, wash bottles, empty the dishwasher, sweep, vacuum, prepare snacks for the kiddos, restock the nursery, and general tidying up. Keep that watering-can full as the young fellow adores science, engineering, and gardening! And when he’s off from school, you’ll spend tons of time inspecting flowers in the backyard as he “plows the field” with his beloved tractor. Although there are currently no pets, a future kitty is looking more and more pawsible. The family intends for this position to last for at least the next half a decade so eventually, you will have to drive the kids to activities using your own vehicle. So if this long-term role with a compact schedule is up your garden path, then APPLY RIGHT NOW!
THE IDEAL NANNY IS… INTERACTIVE! Combining your creativity, education, and experience, you’ll generate a FUN curriculum that considers development and milestones. (Think science experiments, “engineering” builds, and botany projects.) Just like Mary Poppins, you’re nurturing, hands-on, active, and organized. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy, these parents can count on you to show up, maintain their routines, and honor their values in their absence. The vibe in this home is calm and soothing so a nanny with a patient and gentle manner would blend in best. So if you’d rather work a couple of longer shifts than several shorter ones APPLY RIGHT NOW!
