WHO/WHAT: Do you like a sleepy pace where the workday drags and drags because you don’t have very much to do? Then this job *isn’t* for you, because we’re looking for a master multitasker who’ll dive right in and provide relief for an active family of six. As the right nanny, you’ll have all the hours you want plus job security that can’t be beat. Straight up: YES, your days will be busy—this is not a role for a novice nanny. But you can also expect to be well compensated and greatly appreciated, in a position intended to last for at least half a decade. There’s a resourceful team already in place, and although you’ll constantly collaborate together, your focus will be on the children’s care. You’ll work Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, plus, it’s important that you’re flexible to cover occasional evening and weekend shifts for additional support. Most weeks, Fridays will be cut short to ensure a 40-hour work week. Primarily, you’ll assist with the two-month-old, so infant experience is a must. You’ll hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and guide the little guy’s naps. He has two big brothers—10 and five—and a big sis who’s eight. Keep that glue gun hot, because everyone loves crafts, and you’ll do plenty of them. You’ll research ideas, order supplies, help with set-up, make sure paint brushes are washed, and cubbies are tidied afterward. Household management duties will largely be related to the children. They’ll include laundry, washing bottles, emptying the dishwasher, ensuring the children’s rooms are tidied, and restocking the nursery. You’ll coordinate with the family’s household manager for pantry/refrigerator inventory and shop for groceries (access to a family vehicle), assist them with meal prep for the kids’ healthy lunches and snacks, and you’ll help with the occasional light dinner prep. Basic cooking skills are required for this role! There’s also an administrative piece with everything from planning sleepovers to calendar management to buying and wrapping birthday presents. This family travels often, so they’d love for their nanny to join them (and they’d compensate well!). Our team adores this family, as we’ve worked with them for years.
